High School Interns
- High school teens from The Masters Charter School (TMP) come for an entire semester as interns and do community service. Students come Fridays 10-230 and serve the school outreach project (assisting the children with special needs), assist in horse care, develop fundraising ideas, assist in barn maintenance and management, and assist in horse exercising and training. Each teen will be given class credits for the hours spent at NMCTR based on their attendance and participation.
- NMCTR monitors the attendance of the students throughout the year to establish an attendance pattern in school and at NMCTR internship. NMCTR also has a pre- and post-test to measure the outcomes such as personal growth, work ethic, compassion, motivation, etc.
