Siv recently completed an ESMHL (Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning) workshop at Equest in Dallas, TX, and passed the skills test with flying colors! She is one step closer to being certified as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning! 

A PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning ensures the safety and well-being of the equine participating in mental health or equine-assisted learning sessions and serves as the equine expert during equine-human interactions. The ESMHL works alongside a mental health professional or educator in typically unmounted activities.

With this certification and the future goals of our organization, NMCTR plans to develop a whole new tier of programs: Therapies Incorporating Equines. In this new tier, we plan to offer Equine Facilitated Counseling and develop a Veterans Program! Stay tuned for updates to this exciting expansion of services!
