Throughout 2022, NMCTR has hosted several continuing education opportunities for volunteers. This concept was created 1) to give the volunteers an opportunity to learn more about different disabilities and horses and 2) to give back to the volunteers as a thank you for all their hard work and dedication. Here are a few of the favorite 2022 volunteer opportunities that we offered: 

• Positive Reinforcement Equine Training Presented by Via Nova Training
• Equine Bodywork: Masterson Method Presented by Karen Evans
• Internal Parasite Control in Horses Presented by Siv Watkins 

To finish out the year, NMCTR held a Wine and Quiz Night! Volunteers came together and were quizzed on topics covered throughout the year and fun horse facts. It was so fun to see the volunteers get together, enjoy great appetizers, laugh and enjoy each other’s company, and test their memory on all the wonderful information they learned throughout the year!
