Sponsor a Horse
Our horses are the real heroes of the therapeutic riding program at NMCTR. We currently have seven working horses in our stable, all of which exhibit great patience and heart in their interactions with our students. We have an additional equine star from our program who is now living out her years in much-deserved retirement at a nearby ranch. Needless to say, we would not have a program without these 8 dedicated “work horses”! They enrich the lives of our students, our volunteers, our staff, and everyone else who is fortunate to meet them. Keeping our horses stabled, fed, and in good health is one of our biggest monthly expenses. The mission of the New Mexico Center for Therapeutic Riding is to enrich and expand the lives of children, youth and adults with special needs through equine-assisted activities and therapies. “Changing Lives, One Stride at a Time” is intrinsic to everything we do with and for our riders.
